As much as fall and winter are my favorite times of year, I must say that I do love a warm summer night. The cool breeze, daylight lasting late and fun that can be had.
For my (early) birthday present, Doug bought a bike trailer for me the family. We haven't used it except for Doug and Derrick to take a few rides around the block because we thought Dillon was too little. Tonight, we diecided to try to see how Dillon did in it and take a test run. One of our biggest concerns (aside for him being able to stay upright) is that the ride isnt too rough or bumpy for his little neck. Doug buckled him in and he seemed nice and snug and comfortable. Derrick hopped in, was buckled and we were off. Doug towed the trailer while I rode next to it to keep an eye on the boys. I watched as we went over a few bumps, slowly, and Dillon did great.
So here is to the rest of our summer with nights hopefully spent on the trail in Rancho with friends and family.
All sung and ready to ride
(One of these days I will teach Derrick to SMILE....I swear he does!)
Ready for fun
And just an extra little picture of sweet Dillon loving being outside in his walker!
