Almost there...

So I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel...well at least I hope it is the light!! I am officially 39 weeks pregnant today which means one week until my due date....hallelujah!

I am so ready to meet our little man. I am getting daily calls and texts from friends and family asking if anything has happened yet and all I said is a Big Fat NOTHING! So I have been taking weekly pictures of my growing belly and thought I would post before and after pictures :

14 Weeks

28 Weeks

39 Weeks

39 Weeks - My belly button just popped out and notice how LOW he is!!

So here is to hoping he comes soon. Maybe 6/29/09...kinda has a nice ring to it. Or else bring on the fireworks because July 4th here we come!!!

To brighten your day...

...I just came across this and found it super funny. Just thought it would put a smile on your face:

AMAZING SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES

1. AVOID CUTTING YOURSELF WHEN SLICING VEGETABLES BY GETTING SOMEONE ELSE TO HOLD THE VEGETABLES WHILE YOU CHOP.

2. AVOID ARGUMENTS WITH THE FEMALES ABOUT LIFTING THE TOILET SEAT BY USING THE SINK.

3. FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE SUFFERERS ~ SIMPLY CUT YOURSELF AND BLEED FOR A FEW MINUTES, THUS REDUCING THE PRESSURE ON YOUR VEINS. REMEMBER TO USE ATIMER.

4. A MOUSE TRAP PLACED ON TOP OF YOUR ALARM CLOCK WILL PREVENT YOU FROM ROLLING OVER AND GOING BACK TO SLEEP AFTER YOU HIT THE SNOOZE BUTTON.

5. IF YOU HAVE A BAD COUGH, TAKE A LARGE DOSE OF LAXATIVES. THEN YOU'LL BE AFRAID TO COUGH.

6. YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

7. IF YOU CAN' T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

DAILY THOUGHT:

SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES - NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.

Good to Go

Marissa is all good. We are checked out of the

hospital and on our way home. Her blood pressure is back under control.

Waiting..

Not trying to be cool. This is only hours after my PRK Eye surgery and the lights were so bright! I did feel dorky though.

We are still waiting in the hospital. They took blood and we are waiting results. I think they will send us home today. Keeping our fingers crossed!

Doug after surgery

Doug sporting his super cool "goggles" after surgery! Everything went great and his vision will go from blurry to crystal clear for the next couple days but by the end of the week he should be seeing great!!

On a good note he says I still look beautiful to him....now I am just wondering if at the point he said that if his vision was crystal clear or blurry??!!! Hmmmm.... :0)

Doug before surgery

Here is Doug's last picture with glasses!! Hooray!!!

Let's Get the Ball Rolling...

Here goes our first blog post!! We decided to start this blog for a couple reasons:

*The first being so family and friends can keep up on what is going on with us and we dont have to email pictures to everyone individually.

*Also, Doug will possibly be deploying with the Coast Guard towards the end of the year and this way when his email is down or sporadic I can post pictures and adventures on our blog for him to see!

*Just thought we would jump on the blogging bandwagon....

So there ya go! We are expecting our little man soon so keep checking the blog for updates from Doug when I go into labor and afterwards...I will be a little busy :0)

Trying to figure this blog thing out...
