Daddy's Little Helper...

Derrick LOVES LOVES LOVES being outside....especially if daddy is out there. He was helping daddy mow the lawn and as you can see he was getting a tad frustrated with the cord.

23 Weeks...

...I am inching my way closer to my third trimester. This pregnancy is flying by compared to my pregnancy with Derrick!! So here is another belly comparison for you. I think I am slightly bigger with Dillon than with Derrick. It is kinda fun to compare....

And yes I wore the same shirt again! Makes comparing easier!!

Are you ready....

....for a picture overload?!?!?!?! Here it goes!!

HE LOVES TO BE OUTSIDE:

Little man just loves to be outside. Whether it is in the garage with daddy or helping mommy water the plants outside, he runs around like he owns the world!!

Mommy, why are you out here?? It's guy time in the garage!!

Love these two...can you say mini-me??

So serious...guess he really didn't think I should be out there!

He really looks like daddy here!!

Concentrating on where he is driving to...

Weeeeee!!!! (Don't worry, daddy was there to catch him...he loved it!)

INSIDE FUN WITH MY BOYS:

It is always an adventure when daddy is home. Little D and Big D love to wrestle and play all around the house...

Hi mommy! *he scratched his cheek when he fell while carry his sand bucket and his cheek caught the edge of it. Its all healed and slowly fading....poor guy, we don't make it a week without an owie. What is a mommy to do....he is ALL boy!!*

Laughing as Little D prepares to jump on daddy!

NEW JAMMIES!!!

It was finally cold enough last week for little man to wear his new winter jammies!! He looked so cute that I couldn't resist taking a picture. I love love love them...and so did he. He walked around saying "dog, dog, dog" because of the dog on his new jammies.

He wouldn't look at me and smile but he would look to the side and smile...

I have playing to do mommy, no time for pictures...

Look of love for daddy...

Why slide down when you can climb up?

Enough mommy!

SOCCER TIME:

We went to Rusty's soccer game and Derrick did not want to sit still...surprise, surprise. He wanted to be on the field but of course he couldn't! Doug captured some great pictures...

Plotting...

Daddy, I want the camera...

Airplane...airplane...airplane (he loves them and points them out all time!!)

Enjoying a snack with mommy

LOVE MY FAMILY

Just some fun moments...

Daddy sneaking in our picture

Love my family!!

Finally one of all of us smiling

Weeeeee!!

My favorite...love his smile and dimples!

My sweet boy!!

These two have way too much fun together!!

Those eyes pierce my heart.

Taking a moment to relax. Once again...I swear there is some of me in little D despite him looking identical to  daddy ;-)

Seriously? Airplanes? Seriously?

Derrick cracks me up! His new favorite word is seriously. While I was filming him, our fridge made a noise and he thought it was an airplane. Enjoy...

Fun outside...

Lately our nightly ritual has been going outside to water our plants...well let me explain. Derrick always asks to go "outside" to "wawa" which turns into me trying to water the plants while he walks up and down the driveway carrying things from inside the garage to the driveway....brooms, pool noodles, basically anything he can reach on daddy's shelves. He occasionally walks over to me, grabs the hose and shakes it, then proceeds to stick his hand in the stream of water to completely soak his shirt! It makes for a fun night.

Well, tonight was no different expect when we were done watering he grabbed a pool noodle from the garage and started walking down the driveway. I followed him and it turn out to be a nice walk around the block....he carried the noodle THE WHOLE TIME! It was funny because he would occasionally stop and tap the noodle in the grass (I have no clue why!) and then keep going. We would pass neighbors and he would stop and say "ello" (in his British parrot accent that comes out when he says hello). As you can see from the pics below, one bright side was that the neighbors could see us coming from a mile away with how bright the noodle is...who needs reflective gear?! It was a great night and needless to say he was exhausted when we got home!!

These are pics from him carrying the noodle in the backyard:

This is the coolest toy EVER!
Don't act like you have never seen a kid carrying a noodle before

Quick Updates

So things have been busy and crazy around here!! Just a quick update of some fun we have been having:

Derrick had his first In-N-Out burger. He loved it!! He got it with (light) spread only, just like daddy, and he ate 3/4 of it! I was shocked at how much he ate!!! I eat a whole burger and he nearly did the same. I fear the teenage years...
He doesn't look too thrilled but he really did enjoy it!

My little man is growing!! He is officially in size 5 shoes...so that meant it was time to go find some new shoes for him. I heard good things about the Pumas so we ran to Nordys and picked up a pair. He does great in them. I must say, he walks the best in these shoes. I am so glad we got them...and they will be perfect for fall!!

Showin' off his new shoes!

Playing with Daddy....those two always seem to have fun together, not to mention the trouble they get into!! Derrick thought it would be fun to climb onto the bottom shelf and hang out there. It was cute until he got out and tried to climb onto the second shelf...then mommy had to bust all the fun! :-)

Pushing all his toys off the shelf so he can sit there
What am I doing wrong??
