Coooool....

Today the weather was much cooler than it has been. So I finally got to put Derrick in jeans again. He picked out his hat, put it on then turned to look in the mirror and said "Cooool!" It was priceless and I wish I would have caught it on camera.

I guess Doug got tired of hearing him say "pretty" so he taught him "cool". (In my defense, I taught him pretty in reference to jewelry and such...not himself!) :-)

Today we arrive at Gymboree Play Time early and Derrick quickly noticed a microphone on the toy wall. I handed it to him and it went straight to his mouth (dont know why I would think he would do anything otherwise?!). Needless to say, we bought the microphone and he loves it!!

This is an outfit that was Doug's when he was a little tot. It is a 12-month outfit and I finally put it on little D only to realize that it is a tad small! But I couldn't resist the opportunity to snap some shots of him..

17 Weeks

**BELLY PICTURE BELOW**

I am officially 17 weeks now and working my way to almost 4.5 months along!! I am very close to half way through my pregnancy and halfway to having our 2nd little one in our arms!!

Baby Pistachio is now about 5 inches long and about 4 ounces (think the size of your open hand!). Baby body far is beginning to form and will continue until birth. Our baby's hearing has become more acute now and the eyes are beginning to make side to side movements. Baby is sucking, swallowing along with doing somersault and flips. (I have felt a few baby kicks here and there!!).

Within the next week, fingerprints will develop making our little one even more unique!!

I have been feeling great and honestly, little D keeps me so busy I hardly have time to think about being pregnant!!

I have been taking belly shots and thought it would be fun to compare this pregnancy with when I was preggo with Derrick. So here you go....

...I am progressing about the same, which surprises me because I have heard you show faster with your second child. And yes, I put on the same shirt to get a comparison. Kinda fun to look back at my pregnancy with my little man being that he is SO grown up now.

Only 8 more days until we find out if baby pistachio is a boy or girl....I cant wait!!!!

....and I HATE it!!!! He looks so grown up in these pictures I snapped this morning while he way playing. He really has that toddler look now and is no longer has that baby look. Sooo sad...

Every time we go to Babies R Us, Derrick sees this firetruck and instantly recognizes Mickey. So I decided to let him take it for a test drive...

A couple weekends ago it was super hot outside so Derrick and Daddy decided to go play outside in the water. We got Derrick a water table for his birthday but needless to say he was way more interested in the hose. He had a blast though and ended up soaked from head to toe!!
